City Govt Pouring P12M on Water Connection Project for Relocation Sites

The provision of water connection to all permanent relocation sites in the city is being given top priority by the city government as they focus on speeding up the setting up of water pipelines to the sites.

City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano has recently conducted his rounds among the various relocation sites in the city ,e.g. Calaanan and Indahag, to personally check the conditions of the families settling in their new homes and communities.

Predictably, water turns out to be the most needed commodity in the present setup of the communities. And Mayor Emano has informed them to worry not as he is doing his best to hasten the provision of water to them with P12M being currently poured on the water connection project and, in addition, P6M for the implementation of DILG’s Salintubig Project.

Spanish Bridge To Rise by September

It will start from the banks where J.R. Borja Avenue ends and span the Cagayan River across to the Carmen side.

It is called the Spanish Bridge because all expenses for the construction will be handled by the government of Spain thanks to the efforts of Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano who has requested for this assistance about 6 years ago.

And finally, everything is ready for its construction which will begin on September this year.

Congressman Benjo Benaldo, whom the mayor has tasked to work out and follow up on the project in the capital, divulged that the funds are ready including that which is needed to pay off the private properties affected by the project.

The mayor thanked the Spanish government for their generosity as the bridge not only will enhance the beauty of the city but most importantly ease up the traffic congestion in the area.

City Hall To Implement 3rd Tranche of Pay Increase on August

City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano has announced the implementation of the third tranche of the much awaited salary increase for City Hall employees to take effect on August.

He added that each department has, in fact, already received the ‘Notice of Salary Adjustment’ (NOSA) detailing the pay increase for all employees in accordance with an ordinance issued regarding the third tranche salary increase (in line with RA 6758).

The mayor hoped that this will serve to motivate every official and employee to deliver better service to clients and at the same time improve in some way the quality of their lives.
