All employees including the department heads and chief of offices of the city hall will be undertaking a clean up activity* on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 starting 6:30 AM in the premises of the City Hall compound. Some parts of the City Hall was flooded due to the typhoon Sendong last December 16, 2011 and several offices, particularly those located in the ground floors sustained damages and even now are still covered with mud and debris.
To accomplish this clean up task, everybody attending the activity are required to bring the necessary cleaning tools like stick brooms, dustpans, unused sacks, shovels, pails, detergents and are advised to wear boots and gloves.
The mayor, Hon. Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano, has also ordered the City Engineer’s Office, City Equipment Depot, and CLENRO to join and bring their heavy equipments to the City Hall to expedite the removal of accumulated mud and debris from the grounds.
A skeletal force will however remain in each office so that normal office operations and transactions can proceed unhampered.
Exempted from this activity are the personnel from the City Economic Enterprises Department (CEED) and the East & West Bound Terminals and Public Market (EWBTP) as they are all required to work in their respective workplaces.
