First Batch of TESDA-CdeO New Courses Grads

City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano poses, behind the streamer, with the very first batch of graduates consisting of 165 students, of the 3 new courses (Automotive Servicing, Consumer Electronics, & SMAW) of the Technology-Based Community Skills Training under the City Government of CdeO in partnership with TESDA.


The 9th Commencement Exercises of the Technology-Based Community Skills Training Program, a partnership program between the City Government of CdeO and the TESDA Mis. Or., shall be held on February 21, 2012, 1:00 pm at the Grand Caprice Convention Center, Limketkai Area, this city.

This particular commencement rites shall recognize and honor the first batch of 165 graduates for the new courses, Automotive Servicing, Shielded Metal Arch Welding (SMAW), and Consumer Electronics. Of the 165 graduates, 29 are from Automotive Servicing, 77 from Consumer Electronics, and 69 from SMAW. These students started their training last August 1, 2011 and completed it last February 19, 2012.

Honored guest TESDA Provincial Director Eng’r. Edgar A. Sales shall give the Commencement Address after the City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano’s Inspirational Message.

The City Improvement Division has now announced the opening of the 2nd Batch Training on SMAW, Automotive Servicing, and Consumer Electronics. The orientation shall be held on February 24, 2012 8:00 am at the Westbound Terminal Training Center. Classes start on March 2012.

“This is part of the efforts of our city to help the poor and disadvantaged who have no means to pursue even short term courses,” the mayor said.

“Also, this program is successful due to the support of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Community Improvement Division under the Mayor’s Office,” the mayor further stated.
