788 Completes City Government-TESDA’s Skills Training Program

Another batch of students have successfully completed the skills training program in various skill areas and were congratulated by City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano recently. The program which this batch of 788 students has availed is an on-going joint project between the city government and the Technical Education and Skills Authority (TESDA).

Of these students, 333 completed their skills training in basic computer literacy, beauty care services, massage therapy, dressmaking, and handicraft, and had received their certificates last June 20, 2012 at the Grand Caprice Hotel.

On June 22, 2012, the other 455 students who finished their chosen fields in bread and pastry production, commercial cooking and food processing will march to receive their certificates from the same venue.

The Mayor has initiated and fully supported this technology-based community training in the hope of helping the less fortunate citizens gain knowledge and skills they can use to augment their earnings.
