DSWD to Release P10M Aid to CdeO

In response to a request from City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is releasing a P10 Million aid to the city to augment its funds intended for purchasing land for the relocation of its underprivileged city citizens.

Accordingly, DSWD-10 Regional Director Araceli F. Solamillo informed Mayor Emano that his request has recently been approved by Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman for the aforementioned purpose.

Mayor Emano has been negotiating for the purchase of 16 hectares of land in Pagatpat owned by the Roa Family for P40 million as another possible permanent relocation site. DSWD’s aid is expected to hugely help bring the mayor’s goal to reality.
