CSWD Showcases Children’s Talents in line with 20th National Children’s Month

The City Social Welfare and Development, headed by CSWD Chief Ms. Nena Salon, showcased children’s talents, particularly the toddlers of the Day Care centers, during the celebration of the 20th National Children’s Month here at the City Hall premises.

Last October 24, 2012, Day Care toddlers vied for the medals in the various contests held at the City Tourism Hall.

Today, October 29, 2012, during the flagraising ceremony at City Hall, the toddler winners again showed off their talents in front of City Hall employees, officials and guests.

PhotobucketThese little beauties from San Roque Barangay Puntod showed off the form and the moves that garnered them the championship trophy in the Modern Dance competition.

PhotobucketThis is Achilles Torrejos of District V St. Augustine Barangay I Day Care Center expressing himself and proving that he is a budding great orator in the making. This kid bested other orators in the Declamation contest last week.

Photobucket Arjhon Villaver, the winner of the Story Telling Contest entertained city hall employees, officials, and guests during Monday’s flagraising ceremony with a story of little Jello, a mischievous boy who later became a good boy and lived happily ever after. Arjhon used pictures and pieces of paper as visual aids during the course of his storytelling.

PhotobucketA rising singing diva from Barangay Puntod, Gilljian L. Balawag regaled City Hall with a song number during this week’s flag raising ceremony. She won over 4 other contestants during the 20th National Children’s Month celebration held last October 24 @ the City Tourism Hall.

Social Development Center children and Boys Town Center kids also showed off with their dance numbers in front of all city hall employees, officials and guests.
