Despite the recent tragic ordeal that CdeO experienced due to the typhoon Sendong, the city’s business community remained stable and unaffected, and in fact registered an increase in the city’s collections.
City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano announced that the city’s business tax collection amounted to P608.9M as of October 23, 2012, which is plus P89.6M over last year’s collection.
The collection on real property tax, on the other hand, rose by P45.6M above the 2011 RPT collection, totaling P312.3M within the last 9 months of this year.
These numbers do not include yet the collections soon to pour in for the last 2 months of 2012.
