A lot of generous organizations and individuals have come forward to give assistance to the city after the typhoon Sendong. We were fortunate to sometimes be present during their visit and so were able to take pictures. There are times however when we could not be there to witness them and thus missed the opportunity to shoot pictures.
Below are some pictures of generous and helping hands who took the time to deliver their assistance to the City themselves.
‘ASSISTENZA’ FROM ITALIA

SOUTHERN LEYTE BRINGS AID
A team from Southern Leyte headed by Governor Damian G. Mercado himself visited City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano last December 30, 2011, and handed over a cheque worth P500T as aid to the Sendong victims. The Governor also went around the city and checked out the areas that were affected by the flood.
LUCIO TAN PLEDGES 600 HOUSES
Business tycoon Lucio Tan dropped by the office of City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano and pledged to build 600 houses for the city folks who were rendered homeless by the typhoon Sendong. The houses which are to be patterned after the standard designs suggested earlier by the Filipino Chinese Community (who also pledged to build 300 houses) are to be built on the 9-hectare relocation site in Barangay Canitoan.
From Heidelberg City
Former Councilor Harald Geider of Heidelberg City, Germany and family dropped by the mayor’s office and talked to Hon. Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano as they gave relief goods to help Typhoon Sendong victims.
HELP FROM MANDAUE CITY
Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes himself handed to Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy“ Y. Emano a cheque worth P1.5M (from LGU-Mandaue City) and P19,519.75 cash (from the Mandaue City Hall employees) for the Sendong victims.
From Tigbauan, Iloilo
A young mayor from Tigbauan, Iloilo, Hon. James Torres, hands over a cheque worth P100t to Hon. Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano as thier contribution in helping CDO folks in rebuilding lives again after the typhoon.

The Governor of Cebu Province Gwendolyn Garcia, together with her town Mayors: Dumanjug Mayor Nelson Garcia, Medellin Mayor Ricky Ramirez, Sogod Mayor Lissa, Marie Durano, Boljoon Mayor Teresita Celis, San Francisco Vice Mayor Al Arquillano, and Tabuelan Mayor Rex Gerona called on City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano and handed their cheques totalling 1.5M.
International Organization for Migration

MOBILE HOSPITAL FROM SULTAN KUDARAT
The Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat sent a Mobile Hospital and a medical team consisting of doctors, nurses, and volunteers headed by Dr. Archangel Lampria (inset) to help address the Sendong typhoon victims’ medical concerns.
