Cooperative to Build 300 Houses in Mambuaya

City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano announced that 300 houses intended for Sendong survivors will soon rise in barangay Mambuaya, thanks to the generosity of a cooperative which also owns the land where the houses are to be constructed.

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled on July 17, 2012 which will be attended by Dr. Billy Tusalem, Director of the Federation of People’s Sustainable Development Cooperative. The cooperative owns the land and will handle the construction of the houses.

The mayor expressed his gratitude to Dr. Tusalem and his cooperative for their generosity for providing what the Sendong survivors needed most today.

Dr. Tusalem and company had previously visited the City Mayor last April to express their intention of building houses for Sendong survivors in their land in Mambuaya. Now, the plans are ready for implementation.
